It's not just about implementing Cin7.

It's about transforming it into a reliable operating system that drives inventory accuracy, financial visibility and scalable workflows.

Frequently asked questions

Is Cin7 the right system for our business?

If you’re doing $1M–$50M in revenue and have inventory complexity, yes. It’s one of the best IMSs in the SMB space. But it only works if implemented and managed correctly – which most teams underestimate.

Can Cin7 integrate with QuickBooks Online?

Yes – but the integration needs to be properly scoped and actively monitored. That includes sync rules, mapping, error management, and clear ownership across finance and ops.

What's the difference between Cin7 Core and Cin7 Omni?

Cin7 Core is the newer product – originally called DEAR Systems before Cin7 acquired it. Omni is the legacy product, built with a focus on EDI and retail environments. While Omni was designed with those native integrations in mind, Core is where the innovations at. It’s more modern, better supported, and the platform we recommend.

How long does implementation take?

3 to 6 months depending on complexity. If you have advanced manufacturing, forecasting, or multiple channels, expect 6. We do full process mapping and training, no shortcuts.

Can you just do the setup and hand it over?

Yes – but we prefer to partner through the first few months post go-live. That’s where the biggest value is: optimizing, coaching your team, and making sure data is actually usable.

Do we really need to fix our chart of accounts before integrating?

Yes. Otherwise the sync to QuickBooks will break or give you garbage data. Accounting needs to be clean and structured before you start connecting systems.

Can Cin7 handle our custom manufacturing or kitting?

Yes, but you may need Advanced Manufacturing. Simple assembly won’t allow manual serial tracking or work order management.

What does your monthly service include post-implementation?

Ongoing variance checks, usage audits, error triage, forecasting, system optimization, and team training. We become your system watchdog.

Can you manage the system for us?

Yes. If you want to get your team out of the day-to-day ERP and just work via workflows, we do that. We’ll own data integrity, syncs, and reporting.

Why is our inventory not matching between systems?

Typically a process issue. Either receiving isn’t done properly, or the 3PL is not synced correctly, or COGS settings are wrong. We diagnose this as part of our audit.

Do we need a 3PL integration or can we work manually?

You can work manually – but it won’t scale. If you’re doing over 500 orders/month, you need a tight 3PL integration.

What if our team doesn't know how to use Cin7?

That’s common. We provide tailored training and build SOPs. The goal is: everyone knows what to do, when to do it, and where to look when something breaks.

What's your pricing model?

We price based on complexity, not hours. Fixed fee implementation tiers (Light, Standard, Advanced), then monthly retainers based on scope. Our goal is to guarantee success, not track time.

Can we run demand planning or MRP from Cin7?

Yes – but only once your data’s clean, your team’s trained, and your processes are being followed. We treat MRP as a phase 2 deliverable.

We've already implemented Cin7 but it's a mess - can you help?

Absolutely. That’s most of our business. We specialize in cleanups, re-implementations, and turning half-working systems into a real operating platform.

What makes you different from other implementation firms?

We bridge accounting and systems. Most firms do one or the other. We ensure the tech stack actually works financially, not just operationally.

Can we connect Shopify, Amazon, Walmart and B2B orders into Cin7?

Yes, but you’ll likely need EDI or connectors like Crystal/SPS for some channels. We’ve done this many times and know the quirks.

Why is Cin7 so hard to implement?

Because you essentially implement an ERP that you can scale with for years. It requires clear processes, trained people, and correct configuration. It’s not plug-and-play.

What reports can we get out of this setup?

Custom profitability by channel, customer, SKU. Demand forecasts. Cash flow linked to operations. Inventory health. All built off real-time data.

We're not sure if we should keep Cin7 or switch - thoughts?

Let us audit it first. If the setup is salvageable, we’ll fix it. If it’s not, we’ll tell you straight. But in most cases, Cin7 is not the issue – it’s the setup.

Let's fix the chaos and build your financial future.

We'll review your systems, uncover gaps, and build a roadmap - with no sales pressure.
